The world needs to have a phone with a usage informer. I think people really could use information such as call you have made to the same mobile network, to other mobiles, data traffic and especific usage.

The software could communicate with google docs or any other documentation engine to generate reports we could use to confront the data at our phone bills.

Imagine if you can have all your financial transactions such as grocery, utility bills and annual golf fees can be done in just a single touch. This is the function that i'd love to have in any mobile phone user. If there's an application where i can just register my credit card number or reference number of my dues and simply key-in the amount of how much ill transfer. There will be no more need for me to remember the due date or have somebody go to a payment center. Also, since this is cash-less security will never be a problem.

If I am sitting still or not moving a lot then I probably don't want to get a call. I might be in a meeting or asleep. Conversely above a certain level of physical motion I probably don't want calls either. I want my calls to go to voice mail if it detects do not bother me motion modes. I am lazy and do not want to remember to turn it off for meetings and concerts. If I book a movie into its diary it should be smart enough to turn it self off at those times.

An application that can show me bus schedules and help me plan trips now and for the future for any place that has a mass transit system.

If possible, it should also be able to tell me if the bus is coming late or early, if there are route detours that will affect my trip (and alternate routes to the destination), and give routes to specific places, not just addresses.

When planning the route, it should also include average trip time for that time of day and whether or not the bus comes on time, especially if the user will transfer to another bus on their trip (slow buses=missed transfers).

Results should be sortable by length of trip, number of transfers, walking time to destination from nearest stop, and average on-time percentage.

A map feature to visually show the route (including exact location of stops) would be quite useful as well.

I would love an application that allowed you to send sms through Clickatell instead of my operator. This would save me a fortune and get past the limitation of number of contacts that can be sent at once.
A nice extra would be to tie it in with gmails addressbook, thus allowing me to select groups and such

In the main screen itself, my mobile give me suggestions and information's which in interested at that time.
When i am going to a place, it should display the place name , with an "i" icon, upon clicking i could get more info of that place- interesting places nearby, history, shops,etc.
If i am in shop, if i take picture of a product, it should tell me the price, suggested other products, best products in the category, reviews etc.
If i take photo of some objects, say a movie still, the details of the movie, current shows nearby should be displayed.
My mobile should be my intelligent search partner. If i type airport and it give options for entering the flight number, where i could check the timings, status etc..

I would love to see an application where you could mix your music on your phone. It would be interesting to be able to create little remixes of your favorite songs and use those as ring tones.

There has got to be a cell phone company that realizes the importance of incorporating advanced voice recognition into mobile phones so that people can simply talk and send text messages without having to push buttons or look down at their screen. Cell phones have turned pedestrians and drivers into potential hazards. There have been an increase in driving accidents due to cell phones distracting drivers as well as injuries from people falling or bumping into something while walking down the street. On any busy street corner you can see people walking while looking down and pushing buttons on their cell phones. This is a growing problem and new technology should be implemented as soon as possible.

This Idea has 2 payoff sides:
1) Consumer

2) Stores

1) Consumers download the SmartShopper software for FREE for the iPhone. They then can use the camera to "scan" barcodes (UPC's) and download rich, object specific data about each product they scan.
If they scan a movie, they can see trailers on YouTube, read reviews, and see similar titles featuring the same actors/director. If they scan a peice of electronics, they can get pricing, reviews, comparisons. This can even be used to save and message wishlists.

2) Stores that subscribe and pay to get real-time marketing data. Things like shopper trends, time of dat, GPS location in store, customer language preferences, wishlists (how many of each item should i buy for the holiday season), and much more data is now available in realtime to stores about trends nationwide, and users that are in their store right now.

What about something that helps us when in need? I'm not talking about being able to make a call when in an emergency, but something that tells the emergency people what I'm taking (drugs), if I've an allergy, etc in a private code so only Emergency people (doctors, ambulances and similar) will see.
For example, I fall in the Street and break a leg (or something), normally I would have to have a bracelet or similar that tells if I have diabetes, or my blood type, but most of us don't, and when the doctor asks for special things to take into consideration we will mostly forget many of the interesting facts to tell (I've asked my friends and family, and only my mom knew her blood type). Probably because we are nervous and most probably because we already didn't know.
Now imagine this, you go uncounscious and alone (or with friends who have no idea of your health). Well, your cell phone would be a great help.
Now imagine that the information is secured and only an authorized doctor could check it, and it contained facts (image, age, date of birth or similar) they could easily verify (just in case the cell you're carrying is not yours)so they didn't put you in the wrong medication. Even your visit to a regular doctor could be easier and more efficient for both.

Sometimes you recieve a text mesage and you are budy doing something, i just would like my phone to read them out loud for me, like i recieve a message, then i just shout 'read' then it reads it out loud.

I've found that most GPS don't tell you what's interesting about the place you're in. Also, Audioguides don't tell you what interesting touristic sites are close by, they tend to tell you about where you exactly are.

What I'd love to see is a hybrid: a GPS system that tells you whether or nor the exact place you're in is of any interest (touristically speaking). If it's so, then you can access the audioguide-visual guide (sometimes more interesting since you can see close-ups on things that you can't see at normal distance) to see what the site offers. If it's not (or you've already checked the place) it tells you what is close to you, how to get there, and what you should expect to visit. And everything on your cell, so you don't have to carry many things around when you're travelling.

Maybe not that common in other places, for working people in Madrid it is more than usual to eat at a restaurant on a daily basis (most cmpanies don't have cafeterias or places to lunch). Therefore, Restaurants tend to have a daily menu (three starters, three main dishes, dessert and coffee for an average of 10€ depending on the area, type of restaurant and town) that varies everyday and targets mostly working class.

Being very boring to eat always at the same place, mostly everyone would love to know beforehand what the surrounding restaurants will have on their menu today, so they can choose where to go without having to go to each place to see if they like what they offer.

My proposal is this: a service that checks my location (might work on a gps or a preferred location) and tells me (today) what (today) the surrounding restaurants have on their menus, and probably also their prices. Another fantastic item would be to include next to the menu a connection to the phone number of the place, so you can easily book a reservation (some of this places get easily crowded), and their regular menu musts (just in case I don't want to order from the daily menu).

With everybody going about crisis and economic problems, I'd love to see a gadget that checks my shopping list (which of course I should have previously updated on my cell) and through a gps system tells me the prices that the items included on my lists have at nearby shops. This way, let's say I want to buy carrots and nestle chocolat, and I'm in Times Square, if I go to the gadget I will see the prices of carrots and the prices of Nestle chocolat at the nearest shops, and be able to decide if I go for cheaper or for closer. Just like our grandmas used to do (checking everyshop to always buy at best rate) but without having to visit them.

Maybe also interesting for other things, like electronics, clothing, etc.
