Sleep Pattern Monitor Alarm Clock

posted by crutches on 7 November 2007 19:10 Go to the market place Go to forum

Problem context :

I would like to wake up in the morning at the end of my sleep pattern. I wish I could set up an alarm clock that captures my alpha, beta, delta and gamma wave and would only wake me up after a full cycle of sleep. I would also like to download to my laptop my sleeping patterns to see if I'm missing sleep or over sleeping.

Proposed Solution :

Have an alarm clock that collects brainwaves and initiates the wake up in between sleep phases. Create a software that can manage the sleeping activity. Link with Infra-red or bluetooth transmission to a computer. Upload an mp3 of choice for the wake-up song.

how do you capture the waves

answered by ldavid on 8 November 2007 13:42

it's a very interesting idea in theory but how do you think that the waves can be captured ? by using a kind of helmet ? One thing is sure, you'd like to avoid the below situation ;-)
