Problem context :
People need a cheap mobile internet device with a big screen, and the iPhone's screen is too small. Its resolution is too low to display web pages properly, too.
Also, the phone's OS is too closed. People need to be able to choose any OS.
elvesXX had this idea first, this is just my proposed revision.
Proposed Solution :
We could find a 7-inch OLED touchscreen and attach a cool-running processor, a little ram, a little flash storage and seal it up in a case with no buttons and no holes anywhere. As elvesXX proposed in his idea, it could link to other things wirelessly, with bluetooth and other technologies. The package would have to be as thin as possible, and the bezels around the screen would need to be as small as possible.
The touchscreen could serve as the "On" button, so that when you grabbed it from your pocket it would turn on. The touchscreen would be multitouch as well.

competition with UPMC and especially ASUS EEE

one of the big challenge of such idea is the competition with UPMC and especially the now famous ASUS EEE (cf below picture). For instance this device is sold with an internet connection @ 399 US $. So you can connect to internet everywhere. Of course, it's not a phone but you can use skype to make phone call. This is not so usefull as an iPhone but the asus EEE uses a 7 inch screen so it gives a better idea about the size. Moreover, Gigabyte has just announced a competitor to the Asus EEE, the battle is just starting ;-)
