Problem context :
You leave the house or the car and go somewhere and suddenly it strikes you. Did I lock it?
So back and check if you locked it. I am like that and I know many more people who have the same annyoing problem.
Today a friend told me he got up at 4 in the morning to check if his car is locked because he heard some drunken people outside..
Proposed Solution :
If the key remembers the last time it has locked the door you just need to look at the keydisplay and only need to go back if you really forgot it.
It would be even better if the key warns you if you leave the car(house,..) unlocked, like if you are more than 10m away of the unlocked door the key starts beeping.
If the solution is for a car you could charge the batteries of the key when it the is in the lock while driving. For any other application it would need probably a docking station, or you just change the batteries. Maybe its better to make applications like house doors without the unlocked door warning.
