Problem context :
Who hasn't wanted a mobile lighting solution that provided comfort light (soft light) at a sufficient power for a long period of time? Away with the constrained wired lamps and the cold lighted flashlights.
Proposed Solution :
Illumeta is a small sphere (frosted glass, organic form?) that emits warm white light - at full power it emits 800 lumen (equivalent to a 60W incadescent light bulb) but the effect can be dimmed. The interior combines a Direc Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) with white LEDs. At a 250ml refill Illumeta will have energy enough for 50 hours full power light.
This is a design object, a high tech light sculpture, that is used to illuminate the home or/and carried around in a handbag.
