Electronic Key

Problem context :
Too many keys to keep track of. What if all the keys you need could be combined into one more secure key.

Proposed Solution :
I am proposing the creation of an electronic key that opens things with the push of a button like those used for many cars. This key would allow you to program in many different keys such as your car key, your house key, your locker key, etc. Locks would also have to be created in coordination. This is very much like the new electronic cards that store all of your credit cards in one card. Every 12 hours, the key would ask the user once to enter a code which recalibrates all the locks and keys. So if the key is lost, the user does not have to worry as much about someone be able to get in to their car or home or what ever else is saved on the key.

People don't like entering passwords, although the security goal is laudable. Maybe you could just put a fingerprint or vein reader on the key.
